Now, months and months ago I promised myself to not post a new journal until I put something of substance up here. It was an attempt to curb my habit of using this as a blog site and more of the "artistic" -so much as my work can be called- outlet. As a result, the last time I said anything in this space was last year. In October.

Sadly though, I'm still working on my NaNoWriMo submission. I think I just missed the deadline but I needed that rewrite desperately.

Anyway, here we are six months later and all I have to show for things is less cash, half a nursing degree (oh, did I mention that I'm becoming a nurse? Pretty green scrub dress and all?) and about six short stories that I need to type and edit. Along with some doodle-y bits as well, see it's not like I've been doing nothing this whole time. . .
Actually, a lot of my artistic absence has been caused by my renewed interest in model painting, so I'm back painting scale toy soldiers and doing untold damage to my already wonky eyes. As soon as I can find a way to take a decent picture, I'll post some stuff up here since they are quite fiddly and I am quite pleased with myself.
(But nothing new there, eh?)

Convention wise, MetroCon looks like my only one unless by some divine intervention I manage to rake together funds for AWA as well but I hold out little hope. Cosplay looks like an updated Axl Rose and hopefully a Code Geass R2 Jerimiah Gottwald, which will be epic if I can swing it.

Other than that, stay tuned, I'm beating the scanner into submission now and will have stuff up soon, since I've sworn to myself not to make this an "eventually" kind of thing.
